The twin test proves it: our cursives preserve the eyes from fatigue. Today italic fonts are assuming a marginal role in typography and are mainly used for emphasizing purposes. We consider that they deserve more. We believe to offer some of the best italic typefaces on the market. All italic fonts on this website have been developed particularly for being used as copy font. FSdesign pursuits an own philosophy in the development of italic fonts. While common italics with an angle of approximately 8  degrees while reading make your eyes quickly exhausted, our italic fonts preserve them from fatigue. Due to their moderate inclination they are easily readable, really flexible and universally applicable. The cursive character of our italics has more to do with writing-speed than to their (moderate) inclination and it is also responsible for their particularly homogenous text color. Apart from that, our italics are true cursives and not simple slanted versions of an upright font like for the most part of the font families of the competitors. This dedicated website has been set up in order to highlight the potential of italic fonts. Still doubtful? Convince yourself by testing our italic fonts – for free!

Looking for a geometric yet flexible italic? The italic variant of the Teorema font family was essentially created by slanting it, with appropriate optical corrections, and is characterized by the closest possible match with the straight one. However, there is nothing to prevent Teorema italic from being used as a main typeface in its own right in a typographic composition.
